I’m going to sound like a contrarian here, but I’m using my iPad for way more work than before I started working from home. All Hangouts/Zooms are from it now, as is email, Jira, Slack, Google Docs…
My design work still requires XD/Photoshop, though. https://twitter.com/tomwarren/status/1248266006973251589

If my iPad could hook up to my monitor to give me a larger screen experience (no, not the mirroring it does today) and if I could easily share my screen in a Hangout, then 100% of my design work could move to the iPad with ease.
Not saying I’m an average user, and not saying this is a universal trend, just saying this is how things are going for me.
Also, I started down this road entirely because my laptop’s webcam sucks and wanted to look better on camera. The iPad did that better than the Mac

It’s kinda ballooned from there, actually. I switched to the iPad for meetings and then back to the Mac afterwards. But as I did more daily meetings, it was just easier to keep the iPad out and work from there until the next one.
