I don’t usually post my opinions on Twitter but this is vile. How on earth have the @heraldscotland felt this was an appropriate article to publish? I have seen teaching staff rise to the challenge and then some during this. At a time like this we should be sticking together!

Now more than ever we need to stick together as a nation- not try and turn people against people. I am disgusted that a former head teacher has the audacity to publicly decry teachers in this way! I do not think anyone can deny that teachers have stepped up to the challenge

I am asking for all teachers in Scotland and the UK to post a photo of things you have done to support your pupils, schools and communities during these tough times with the hashtag #nowaydougmarr
