Some of y'all get mad when Democrats are forever blamed and Republicans get given a pass because the expectations for Democrats are higher ... but embrace that same dynamic by shifting all blame to white women and by doing so giving white men a pass.
There's a point at which that becomes reflexive and unhelpful, and that point is when it de facto excuses white men from taking responsibility.
I especially have no time for white men who join in the white woman pile-on. Because y'all voted for Trump over Clinton nearly 2:1—62% to 32%.

Take care of your own shit before you ever fix your Twitter fingers to blame us.
And while I'm at it, that 53% figure we all love to cite—me included —is inaccurate.

The real % of white women voters in 2016 broke down like this: 47% Trump, 45% Clinton.

Yes, that's still a plurality but if we're going to throw out a percentage it should be accurate.
I'm not giving white women a pass here. I was fucking appalled earlier in the primary by how lowkey racist some of us were, especially to Kamala. The thirst some of you have for making sure the first female president is white is goddamn revolting.
And it's also true that black women are and will continue to be the heart of the Democratic Party. 98% of black women voted for Hillary Clinton. That's goals for white women.
But let's be real: it's unattainable because most people vote in their own best interest, and while some white women feel oppressed and enraged by the patriarchy, others buy into it because it protects them.
Y'all know me. I'm not asking for cookies and I'm not asking to be coddled. I'm saying one, accuracy matters and two, we need to hold white men to account.

Because when we don't, when we act like the source of white supremacy is white women, that does one destructive thing:
It (unintentionally) gives white men a cover to continue their fuckery unassailed.

We have to hit the source—repeatedly and from multiple angles—if we want to make things better.
Please note that—recognizing that I am a human with emotions I can't always control nor am I always proud of—my intent with this thread is not at all to excuse white women ...
