Hope you're doing ok Dana, wherever you are.
Almost feel uncomfortable posting this. Feels intimate, but I stumbled across it and want to share. There are other posts about different personalities and song lyrics.

Funnily enough it seems almost impossible to find if you were trying to look for it.

According to Wikipedia, Livejournal was founded in California in '99. It was eventually sold to a Russian company in 2007, and by 2017 all assets and regulations were based in Russia.

Their Twitter account has been silent since 2016, and claims to be based in San Francisco.
"Oh No They Didn't, also known as ONTD, is the most popular community on LiveJournal, with over 100,000 members."

"When LiveJournal increased the comment limit on posts from 5000 to 10,000 comments, ONTD contained the first post to reach this new limit."
"In the end of January 2009, [ONTD] was the first LiveJournal to surpass 16,777,216 comments, effectively breaking LiveJournal's previously undocumented limit on comments. This resulted in almost a week of downtime for the community, while LiveJournal worked to fix the issue."
Looking at the sites controversies just feels strange. Old issues for an old website that mirror the things we see today. Does anybody involved remember this?

What does 2004 Livejournal have to say about 2020 Twitter? What will they say about Twitter's controversies in 2036?
Quick update: I tried to tag the livejournal twitter only to discover that they've appropriately moved to a Russian account. You can see Frank the Goat in their header.
You don't know who Frank the Goat is? He's been the site's mascot for a long time. They loved him.

Wikipedia mentions that user Ryan Estrada drew a weekly webcomic about Frank that got a bit popular. Here's his second to last comic.

Well what about his last comic?
Oh. I guess that's what happens when you're owned and operated in Russia.
Fun fact about Ryan Estrada to end this thread – apparently he's the artist who drew "Learn to Read Korean in 15 Minutes"
