Favorite books : a thread

1. To kill a mockingbird - one of the very first book I ever read , the characterization of Atticus finch inspired me to live a life with ideals identical to Atticus , and I am still trying towards that goal
2. Lord of the Rings - my very first fantasy book , that made me dream and imagine a world unimaginable , hence starting my unhealthy obsession with the genre and even made me try to write my own epic fantasy (3 years , and I am still writing , and I am still not pleased)
3. The first law trilogy - a fantasy like no other , to have a book with such rich characters , that give u reasons to absolutely hate everyone and then also empathize with them and man that ending
4. The Dresden files - I kept saying it was just a guilty pleasure for quite a long time , but 15 books into the series and I have read it front and back 3 times coz it's just so god damn fun , hilarious and enjoyable
5. A Man Called Ove - Rarely have I read a book that made me express all sorts of emotions , Joy , sadness , anger , pity . Everything . A man called ove is just a special special book . Yet to find a single person whom I have recommended this book and they haven't liked it
6. Martian - it's funny man ... Just read the book , it's got science but it's sooooo funny
7. Hyperbole and a half - it's a book like no other , for those who want to learn of depression or those who are suffering from it and want relatable books , please check this
8. Murder of Roger Ackroyd - to this day , this has been my favourite Agatha Christie book , the end reveal still gives me shivers
9. Defending Jacob - not everyone will like this book , but man there's a special appeal in this book for me
10. Hound of Baskerville - favorite Sherlock Holmes book . I can't explain why
