/2 ZYL was stuck in his Beijing home during the epidemic. He was only 2-3 days away from completing the filming of "To Dear Myself" and he was worried that he would be out of his acting state for too long. But his anxiety didn't last long as he learnt to interact with family &

/3 friends virtually, and shared bits of his life on social media. He was able to distance himself away from his identity as an "actor" and reimmerse himself in society. This period would usually be the busiest time in the year, but he was able to spend time with his parents

/4 "Identity is an unstable thing. Once you're busy, you'll desire many things & become very stressed. But once everything stops, you'll realize that these things aren't so impt after all. Even if you need to drop what you've achieved & restart all over again, it doesn't matter."

/5 "What else can I do?" was a question that ZYL kept thinking about during this period. Other than acting, he has other goals and he really wants to do his part for the world. "Right now, I'm not only posing in a studio; I want to add in my own thoughts (to this project).

/6 I hope to explore the world more in future & to integrate what I see into my life; I want to share my real experiences with people... One needs to go out & embrace new things after being in an env or career for too long. When they return, they will have a bigger heart and feel

/7 more relaxed. They will have a better understanding of this world." Therefore, #ZhuYilong admits that he deliberately tries to make himself feel like he's travelling while he is at work.

/8 Every time #ZhuYilong returns to the city from the seaside, his heart also becomes peaceful again. One of the very rare things he is very particular about - the distance between his hotel and the sea. #朱一龙

/9 When #ZhuYilong books a hotel, he will check if the hotel offers his favourite activities such as diving and snorkelling. #朱一龙

/10 #ZhuYilong doesn't seem himself as a travel expert, but he has accumulated some experiences from his trips. He advised: if you encounter a problem during the trip that you can't solve, you shouldn't be too stubborn or hard on yourself; do not be afraid to seek help. Sometimes

/11 if the situation isn't that serious, it might be faster to resolve an issue with the hotel manager rather than looking for the police.

/12 ZYL talked about the issue of "trust" more than once during the interview. Travelling will allow you to see yourself from the perspective of an outsider. Interacting with natives and strangers you meet during the trip requires a form of "trust"; seeking help from the hotel

/13 manager also requires trust. Trusting people can help you to slow down and derive joy more easily.

/14 #ZhuYilong isn't a person who makes detailed itineraries. To him, going with the flow is more attractive than the final result. It is the element of unpredictability that makes a trip interesting. "My trips can be very sudden; I can finish my job, open the app & book an

/15 impromptu trip by searching for suitable flights and cities. It is nice to spend a weekend with friends if they aren't too far away." He has a good impression of aircrew members, most likely due to the fact that they took good care of him when he often flew solo as a child.

/16 #ZhuYilong's standard routine for a long haul flight: he orders a cup of wine once he is on the plane, as this helps him to sleep. He said that he can't hold his liquor well and falls asleep once he finishes a cup. (Sorry, couldn't resist adding this gif lol) #朱一龙

/17 If he wakes up halfway thru the flight, he will order fruits to replenish Vit C & water, AND another cup of wine to help him sleep. By the time he wakes up, it is usually about time to land.

/18 A few months ago, #ZhuYilong made plans to do an entirely work-free road trip in New Zealand this year with a few friends. But he has to put aside this plan for now. "I will consider it again early next year, but I will definitely go. People will prob need some buffer time."

/19 #ZhuYilong also has plans to return to Africa. He often thought about his Namibia trip - the kids and the animals that made the desert less harsh and lonely. He laments the short duration of his prev trip and wants to return with a new perspective of that place. #朱一龙
