thinking about how in a hidden life, franz finds his way and trust to god almost entirely through his love for fani and the children

as if faith was mostly habit & tradition to him before but then everythin had a true meaning after he met her. To him god is IN her love and it reflects !!! in the soundtrack!!!!!

JNH said in "Knotted" one violin represents Franz and the other Fani. Assuming Fani is the higher violin... this is the one that keeps recurring in almost every piece of music in the soundtrack, with the lead melody

In "Love and Suffering" or "Morality in Darkness" the 1st violin almost flows through the pieces like a string of light & hope, and even if the melody is desperate and torn at times, the violin is always THERE (at times with the 2nd), in the centre, it always comes back !!!!

and sometimes you can't tell if it's supposed to be Franz or Fani bc they are so deeply connected, they both go through the same thing in different ways. Even though the focus seems to be on franz, they're both the dual protagonists of the story

franz has to die, fani has to LIVE... she is the one who has to go on without him, yet she never makes him feel guilty about doing what's right

The lead melody of "A hidden life" and "There will be no Mysteries" is melancholy but still hopeful... like acknowledging, accepting, internalizing immesurable suffering and finding you can, wondrously, still love the world...
