Okay, can we acknowledge how fuckin THIRSTY Jessie is for Cloud? Like I normally hate the "every woman is madly in love with the protag" trope but it's fine because I am also mega thirsty for Cloud

Materia in the original FF7 was one of the best things about the game and it's a really interesting, intuitive system

I'm interested and nervous to see how it's handled now

ALSO I ALWAYS THOUGH THE TWO HOLES ON THE BUSTER SWORD WERE FOR MATERIA AND I FEEL SO FUCKIN SMART FOR BEING RIGHT ABOUT THAT

Okay so Materia seems to be like, the same. I thought it'd be different, but it looks like the way they used to work translates really well to the new game

God Midgar seems so alive

That was one of the strong suits of the original and it was turned up to 11 here

One thing you don't think about on PS1 that you do when things are more realistic, why is no one freaking out that Cloud has a big ass sword on his back. Like Avalanche I get, but normal people should at least like, side-eye him

Legitimately Sephiroth is one of my favorite villains period. He's always had prescence; in FF7 original, in Crisis Core, and especially here. I wasn't expecting him so early but goddamn I am excited to see where he goes

Okay not to get too weird on main but I never understood Aerith as top waifu material

But goddamnit she's so fuckin CUTE I wanna give her headpats

I was told there were new additions to the plot and that they were VERY Nomura

I agree that they're very Nomura, but I adore Nomura's bullshit so I kinda dig it

FF7's battle theme has always been super fuckin hype but this version is fuckin primo

On the subject of new stuff I heard that a lot of new stuff is stuff that was cut from the original, which is dope

God Cloud and Barret stick out like sore thumbs
