Every Good Friday I think about the actions of Judas Iscariot, and later Simon Peter.
The people who have done the same to me, and those I have betrayed, or not stood with in their hour of need.
Treachery, in return for silver pieces, and betrayal, define our society today.
Those entrusted with public or private trust discard it, for a few silver pieces.
When you engage in a side hustle, or construction or business, you must expect the person in charge to rip you off, whether close family member or professional.
The realisation that everyone is on the look out to rip off the other, makes one wonder.
Is Good Friday about commemoration of the tragedy that befell Jesus, and his magnanimity, or a celebration of the actions of Judas Iscariot and Simon Peter?
If you don't think you are treacherous, and would not betray the public or any private person, that has bestowed trust in you, would you, or are you magnanimous to those who have betrayed your trust?
