VIOLIN ANALYSIS TIME IM HAVING A BREAKDOWN

his bowhold is actually okay!! since he at the upper half of the bow its okay for his fingers to be tilted like that since his arm is extended!! his pinky is on top of the stick which is right and his pointer finger is in the right place! if anything his middle fingers need to-

be just a tiny bit closer together !! his thumb looks like it’s resting in the right place !! good job with the bowhold yuutakun!!

the anatomy for this arm is actually really nice compared to most violin cards!! his thumb placement is correct but it’s not lining up exactly with his pointer finger (they should be relatively parallel) and it looks like he’s in III? instead of I which-

is interesting but also kinda hard to tell bc his thumb is saying I and his fingers are saying III dnnsna also his fingers are curved nicely instead of laying flat on the fingerboard!! especially his pinky!! there’s a nice angle in his elbow and his wrist isn’t bent !! +1

this is where we get the most issues(?)
it’s not necessarily... wrong but his chin isn’t rlly resting properly in his chin rest,, his body is turned the right way and his violin is positioned correctly and his head should be facing the direction his body is turnt instead of-

toward the camera. It’s not necessarily WRONG to play like this but in an actual performance you’re most likely gonna be looking at your music instead of at your fingers unless you’re a crazy person and memorize all of your music ndnsna

this one can be kinda hard to understand if u don’t play violin/viola but when u play ur body is positioned so ur not looking at ur instrument but instead are looking at the music/conductor
you CAN still play well like this, just have fun bumping bows w ur stand partner ndnsna

some other small details I noticed !!
his bow is a bit too tight!! it’s shouldn’t be straight across and should have a bit of a curve to it!
also!! it’s super lq so I cant really tell but it looks like he only has one fine tuner which makes me think it might be Rei’s violin......

It also looks like he doesn’t have a shoulder rest :(( yuutakun good luck doing vibrato/shifting and your collarbone is gonna KILL you later
