19% of the workforce fall into the ‘increased-risk’ category — such as pregnant women or people with diabetes or asthma. Many, like Moira, may be putting their health at risk every day if they continue to work

But for 400,000 people who became self-employed in the last year, there is clarity: they aren’t included in the Income Support scheme

This means many will be left unprotected and we know from our data that the benefits system won’t cover all their necessary costs
