And the whining sounded more like soft crittering so she went to explore. And lo! Murphy found a rabbit hole and brought a baby rabbit to show us. He just held it in his mouth SUUUUPER gently and let aunty take it easily. He’s otherwise pretty adamant about things in his mouth

He even led us to the rabbit hole and we found a colony of four babies there - their borough was partially destroyed by the rain/wind. We took them to safety and away from Murphy (our 95 lbs doofus forgets his size sometimes)

Didn’t get a photo of Murphy with the baby rabbit in his mouth cause we were too scared he’d hurt the baby without meaning to (he’s literally the biggest saint ever but he has big teeth and the baby bunny is like smooooolll and fragile so didn’t want to take any chances)

He kept trying to go back to them even after we blocked his path and was so worried for them. I like to think that he wanted to be a foster dad to the little bunnies. The Amma bunny keeps visiting them but I try not getting too close in case she abandons them or something

Anyway, baby cousin has dubbed this an Easter miracle, so happy Easter/Passover!
