When the 37-yo nurse at Delhi State Cancer Institute tested positive for #COVIDー19, she reached the hospital for treatment with her two kid in tow. On Wed, her daughter turned 4 inside the ward. My #ExpressFrontPage profile of the #HealthcareHero:
Her husband went to Kerala mid-March & is unable to return because of the lockdown. She& #39;s among the 22 staffers who tested positive at the cancer institute even though there was no #COVIDー19 ward. Kids have tested negative & after 2 days in ward, they& #39;re now at a friend& #39;s house.
Once DSCI staffers started testing positive, the rules at home changed. “I would return home from my shift, rush to the bathroom, take a bath, wash all clothes, and then see the kids. I told them ‘no hugging mummy’… It’s hard to explain that to children,” she said.
