Her husband went to Kerala mid-March & is unable to return because of the lockdown. She's among the 22 staffers who tested positive at the cancer institute even though there was no #COVIDー19 ward. Kids have tested negative & after 2 days in ward, they're now at a friend's house.
Once DSCI staffers started testing positive, the rules at home changed. “I would return home from my shift, rush to the bathroom, take a bath, wash all clothes, and then see the kids. I told them ‘no hugging mummy’… It’s hard to explain that to children,” she said.
She says she will return to work as soon as she recovers, and will "hopefully be given PPEs then." Grateful to her for sharing her story with me. We've to do better for her health-care workers. They can't fight #COVIDー19 without #PPEs.
