Thoughts (so far) on @PlayVALORANT
I enjoy it. It's a lot closer to CS than Overwatch but there are a lot of "holy overwatch" moments.
I still don't have enough hours to comment on game balance but raze seems to be stupid good at the moment.

I think this game would be way closer to my alley than OW
There's a lot they've done right so far with regards to mechanics and making it both esports ready and also good to pub (good voice codec, built in commands for communicating to save, mini map pings, etc.)

One of the reasons that CS is so popular is that it's easy to digest by people that don't even play the game. While there is a lot of overlap, there are a lot of unique abilities which will make following the game more difficult. I don't think the game will be a "CS killer"

I think a strong competitive can be created given proper infrastructure and support. I'll continue to play and when I have a different opinion or have more hours in the game or when more info comes to light then I'll update my thoughts
