Why Nicki Minaj (Onika Tanya Miraj) is one of the best rapper of our decade and years to come (I didn't say female rapper because we already know she outsold all of them)

1- What she stands for. You will NEVER see her putting down girls, telling them to just waste their lives for some man. She CONSTANTLY tackles heavy issues like sexism, especially towards women of color.

2- Her versatility. Throughout her years in the rap game she has shown that her flow can fit any genre, any language, any beat. Some of my favorite examples are Tusa, BTS Idol, Dumb blonde.

3 - Her lyrics. Not only does she write them (some of y'all's faves can't say the same), she incorporates puns, references, etc., into lyrics that you won't catch at the first glance. Songs that really shows this side of her in my opinion is definitely HARD WHITE and YIKES.

4 - Her open mind. A lot of big rappers today have extremely homophobic and transphobic, past. But Nicki? Even in the days when she wasn't very famous she showed extreme support to the community, even adding people of those communities into her music videos, songs, etc.

5 - Her beauty...I don't think I need to elaborate on that one. She's the reason why I'm a lesbian.

6 - She always stands for what she believes in. People have called her bitter, conceited, fake, but in reality she is just a strong woman who holds her ground who won't take ANYTHING from not no fake bitch or entitled man.

7 - She always sees the good in people. Time and time again people have lied on her, lit fire to her name, but she always give them the benefit of the doubt. (but when she gets fed up of the lies and hate suddenly she's the #badguy)

8 - She is ACTUALLY TALENTED!! Not only did she got to an art school perfected rap (and acting!!), she is able to sing, and again - she can write her raps.

9 - Her looks!! She has alter egos, incorporating alternative fashions like Harujuku, Vkei, Lolita, has gone beyond the limits of what is "acceptable fashion" and in a way redefining it. Here are some of my favorite looks

10 - Her legacy. People will say she's falling off the charts (which isn't true), that she's washed up, but all of these female rappers (and rappers in general) follow in her foot steps (that's not necessarily a bad thing, but people need to watch that they say sometimes)

Unrelated to the thread I really hope Nicki one day collabs with Halsey! It sounds like a strange collab but Halsey is extremely talented (in my opinion), and Nicki (as we all know) can do any kind of music!!
