. @PlayStationAsia @finalfantasyvii @PlayStation @SquareEnix hi, the PSN preorder version of FF7 Remake in Asia - defaults to the Chinese/Korean version of the game, while not labeling it as such during purchase. This has left many digital preorders ending up w/different language
As the labeling was unclear, this meant that many people would have already downloaded the game via preload, started the game - only to find out that the game is only in Chinese/Korean and are unable to toggle the in-game language to English or other options.
As a frame of reference, this is how the preorder option for FF7 looks like. No language clarity - while Trials of Mana clearly states it. And even after purchase and in the product page itself, there was no language clarity whatsoever.
And nevermind just the title - it's not in the main product description either. No references to language options. You have to go the extra mile to find out it's the Chinese/Korean version.
Once the product is live and out of preorder status - then it's clear. But at that point it's too late, and many would have downloaded/started the game, or at least tried to see if they could toggle an English option. So those who decided to preorder digitally, we got screwed.
I understand there's probably been a litany of complaints and request for refund from the PS Asia FB, but I'm sharing this to also highlight how easy it was to have missed that product language of choice and how it eludes us all the way till us downloading & playing.
