That “dudes can only send their dick while sexting” take is depressing.

My fellow dudes, you have whole ass entire bodies. Your arms and chest can be hot. Your ass can be hot. The hair which leads from your abdomen joining into your pubes can be hot. Be more imaginative, please.
It’s such a bizarre reminder that the truth of patriarchal culture is a cult of dick worship.

It goes without saying that non-cis-masculine bodies get far more of the brunt of being fractured into imaginary pieces and reassembled into fetishized collages of dismembered organs.
But in this hellish culture which mars any chance of healthy sexuality, even the people that get off the best (the ones with power, cishet men) still come out on the other side of being-cultured with absolutely terrible body images.

Or rather, there’s no body image at all.
They’ve been cut off so much from a unifying image-of-self that when they wonder “what could it be that makes the other find me attractive? Why would they care about me?”—the line of thinking which brought them to those questions falls short before the phallus.
Obvi for a lot of people who have them, dicks are an important part of body image, and there’s plenty of people that’d be happy to see them (CONSENSUALLY).

But any fetishizing of a member apart from the context of a whole body, no matter the organ, is unhealthy psychologically.
This thread was pure, clear-headed psychoanalytic culture criticism. At no point was I compelled to start tweeting about sexuality cause I have not felt the warmth of another person weeks. My intentions are righteous and transparent.
