@dmgbnagar @ChiefSecyUP SOS:
On Sunday, 5 April, I responded to a contact tracing notice for a flight I took 12 days before from Delhi to Chennai. Because I live in Noida, the Chennai helpline person told me to contact the local authorities - CMO Gautambudh Nagar.
I did and told the CMO that I already was in home quarantine for 12 days, had no symptoms and was being checked by an ENT for pollen allergy. He insisted I get a test done and the report would be out in 2 days for which I would be in quarantine.

Fair enough.
So I came to the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) as per his instructions, gave my swab, was taken to this hostel which is a makeshift facility - Dr Ambedkar Students’ Hostel in Greater Noida.

What is wrong here is a long story.
Everyone here is waiting for their reports, so you can’t say who is positive and who is negative. management of the space is such that people are forced to live in a very unhygienic condition, men women share toilets that are not cleaned regularly, water is irregular...
toilet doors to not latch and overall very very few guidelines are followed as per the Government norms for quarantine facilities.

No one comes to check on your health or wellbeing. The come to take attendance and spray bleach into the room.
I am grateful that occupancy is one person per room. But having said that, one still has to go own and stand in a queue for supplies and use the common toilets. It is difficult to stand in that line. People cough sneeze, no one knows who has common cold and who has the virus.
I’ve stopped going out of my room as much as possible. I take my dinner at 10:30 pm when I know the queue would be over. I use the loo at 4 am. I go down for fresh sheets and water at 6:30 am. Now the supply of fresh sheets is also over.
a friend deliver led food and supplies But now I feel she shouldn’t come here, not safe. My request for paid quarantine at my expense rejected by CMO as my report is pending and AC not good.
I have been well for the last 17 days, but now if I contract an infection because of this unhygienic facility, who would be responsible?
biggest problem - reports delayed. people here waiting for 7 days! I am on Day 5. No one has answers. They give numbers which are answered with “will get back ”. Calls to CMO and DM going unanswered or “Sir is in a video call with the CM”.
I can still raise my voice and demand certain measures be put in place, mostly to ensure clean toilets. What about majority here that is scared to ask for basics - basic being hygiene and a quick turnaround of the report.

Is there anyone who can help?
