If people really want to serve poor immigrants, DON'T EXCLUDE PEOPLE WITHOUT CARS! Why is this so hard for some people? https://twitter.com/WNYC/status/1247962491176566784
Telling that both of the medical professionals administering the tests have to schlep for over an hour on the A train to get to the Aqueduct.

This isn't "immigrants helping immigrants." It's disadvantaged people putting themselves in danger to help people who are better off.
The easiest way to capture the injustice in this story is that the testers themselves would be REFUSED appointments at this testing site, because they don't have cars.
Whichever American created this drive-thru testing system with zero provisions for people without cars, and all the people expanding it, have blood on their hands.

Even in places where the vast majority drive, the small minority without cars are most vulnerable to this disease.
I find it absolutely infuriating that so many of the people setting up these exclusionary drive-thru testing centers get to turn their indifference to those most at risk into a touchy-feely story about helping the disadvantaged.
