Lemme use this video as a teaching moment, esp. for those shouting "eNd CaPiTaLiSm," not knowing what the hell capitalism is:

Capitalism, just like socialism, is just a tool in a toolbox; it's neither inherently good nor bad

Let's simplify this with a hammer, for example...

A hammer is not holy or evil by nature

And like any other tool, it's efficacy is determined by its USER

You can use a hammer to build a house with (a good use)

Or you can use a hammer to bash someone over the head with (a bad use)

The hammer isn't the issue
The user is

Same w/ capitalism; you can run a profitable company that either:

-Pays employees well w/ good benefits; responsibly pays taxes based on the tax code; is ethical, or

-Underpay employees w/ little to no benefits; evades taxes; unethical

Capitalism isn't the issue
Management is

The problem today (for decades, really) is: we have bad managers of a capitalistic tool (and y'all know I don't mince words…mostly white people)

But yelling "eNd CaPiTaLiSm" doesn't solve the problem; you're demanding to rid a tool instead of removing the abusers of the tool

If someone's building terrible houses, you don't get rid of the hammers (you know, the tool used to build the damn houses?)

You protest for better builders
You SUPPORT better builders
You VOTE for better builders

You move the tool from the wrong hands & into the right ones

Because newsflash: an abuser of tools will misuse ANY tools available, not just the hammer: the saw, the drill, the wrenches…anything

That means even the other tool, socialism, can be misused (keep thinking marginalized groups can't be systematically excluded from services)

But if you absolutely insist on continuing your "eNd CaPiTaLiSm" battle cry, do this, at least:

Try NOT to do it on a corporate social media platform
…on your expensive smartphone
…while drinking Starbucks
…while rocking your J.Crew

'Cause then, you're just a hypocrite
