what a lame take. sure if you wanna 100% the game you have to cut trees down and catch bugs and fish and stuff, but the game is literally about playing how you want to play it, that's what the devs have made animal crossing about forever

if we're talking irl, since when has catching a few fish while out on a lake ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED the ecosystem in the name of consumerism. if you're gonna be realistic in your takes then damn be realistic
