look, people swear they aren’t jealous over certain people but what other explanation is there for constantly being up the asshole of someone you don’t like???

jealousy is extremely common and we tell ourselves we don’t experience it but, in a society that trains us to hate everything about ourselves, you somehow think it’s not a common feeling or that you’re above it? none of us are.

we can be jealous over the pettiest, stupidest things. we all have deep-rooted insecurities and you’re not above experiencing that, i’m sorry. now, does that mean that everyone you dislike is someone you’re jealous of? of course not!

some people will say you’re jealous to deflect from the fact that they wronged you or did something to make you dislike them! bc they can’t handle the idea that they might be kinda terrible!

but, if you’re being nasty to or about someone and you have no justifiable reason (or, in my personal experiences w hateful people, you actively mimick the person you claim to hate so much), then someone is absolutely entitled to assume jealousy and it’s ugly behavior.

we need to stop comparative thinking, for real. i get jealous of people too and end up not liking them bc of it but it takes self-awareness to pull yourself out of that. it’s a natural thing to experience as ugly as it is and feels.

start being honest w yourself bc you can’t grow and thrive if you’re not.
