A story that will lift your heart: tonight on my in-laws block in the working class area of Boulevard Park in South Seattle, two teenagers drew chalk boxes in front of everyone& #39;s house.

They invited everyone outside at 6 pm for a block party. Told them to stay in their box.
They had drinks and laughter and shouted at eachother for two blocks long.

My mother-in-law, who is immunocompromised, hadn& #39;t left the house in six weeks.

These two kids, who she& #39;s known since they were littles, did it for her.

She is smiling.

Kindness. It saves all of us.
