Poor people benefit much more when Ds are in control; lots of studies show this. Black ppl have even more impressive gains (see the recent book dangerously divided.) Glenn is empirically wrong here. https://twitter.com/ggreenwald/status/1248279345522708480
Dangerously Divided found that the wealth gap between black and white ppl would be basically erased if Ds has held power over the last 50 years.
Anyone looking at the policies the parties promote can see this. Ds have been trying to expand health care coverage for 50 years. GOP has been fighting against it.
Why did Sanders run as a D. Is he an idiot? Did he flip a coin? Or is he more thoughtful than greenwald? Hm.
“There’s no difference, nothing matters” is not a message that leads to progressive change. It’s a message that fascists like, though.
Glenn’s a fool who by all appearances wants trump to win.
It’s sad because I’ve found his writing inspiring in the past, and I’d hoped he’d be a leader against fascist authoritarianism. He is not though.
Have Ds often supported bad policy? Of course.

Should they be criticized? Yes.

Are the two parties the same when it comes to economic policy and issues of wealth inequality? No. They don’t even pretend to be the same.
Which party was advocating for UI benefits in the relief bill? This isn’t rocket science.
Biden’s calling for a public option, bankruptcy reform, and an end to right to work laws. Biden sucks in lots of ways, but is that platform the same as the gop’s re inequality?
