Read @JBennet letter on new editorial series from the Times about America after coronavirus: "Times Opinion will be arguing its way toward a set of proposals for how American society can eventually emerge from this crucible stronger, fairer and more free." https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/09/opinion/inequality-coronavirus.html">https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/0...
As an editorial writer, I am very excited to see what comes of this project. Some of the smartest and most persuasive writers in the US are on the NYT ed board right now ( @JInterlandi, @MaraGay, @BrentNYT to name a few of my editorial writing inspirations).
How best to utilize the "Editorial Board" byline is a tough question in 2020. I am always inspired and excited to see boards innovating, trying to break the traditional formula of 500 word in authoritative Voice of God. I genuinely believe it& #39;s good for democracy and journalism.
