This is a hard opinionated thread. My intentions are honourable in that it's an attempt to hold certain op-ed writers to account. Some see themselves as above the fray and beyond being held responsible for the damage they do and I don't give a damn if you like it or not.

Postmedia network where, abetted by the horrendous anything for buck Globe & Mail, have been demeaning and diminishing Canada's top doc over their desperate need to see some unrealistic carved in stone predictions when the pandemic will end and how many Canadians will die.

As many of us predicted and expected here in 'liberal' twitter these unqualified braying op-ed writers would immediately attack Dr Tam's predictions as either 'soft soap' or an irresponsible act to scare Canadians into compliance with self-isolation and social distancing.

Icehole Ivison, based on his long & storied medical career, is telling us that the good Dr is intentionally misleading Canadians b/c, in his actual career, that's what he would and does do. Other outraged talking heads will follow and Dr Tam's advice will be swallowed whole.

Undermining people like Dr Tam is the activist journo's, like Ivison's bailiwick. Controversy = ad sales, it's a simple formula. Meanwhile, real reporters and their work is simply not on their front page...if Postmedia have any of those left, hard to tell with all the barking.

Yesterday, here in 'liberal' twitter, we saw several talking head activist op-ed writers circling the wagons protecting one of their own from 'opinions' by us plebs. We know as much about these issues at they do but, my opinion is, to them, meaningless, and for me to say they

misinform/mislead intentionally shocks them beyond belief. We are called 'liberals' (said with a sneer) we are called uninformed (they get their info from the same places we do - from real reporters) they're outraged that we call them out, they cry about unfair it all is.

Hell one of these poor sad individuals invoked the 'SNC' scandal as proof that they do good work totally discarding any notion that entire 'scandal' was created for political purposes by a well known political operative. The Canadian version of "What about her emails?"

In-the-end, these opinionated unqualified preachers of self-created controversy will be responsible for real deaths in a world that has become uncomfortably real. #cdnmedia has been hobbled by arrogant jackasses who think they are the center of the universe. They are not.
