Had gastric bypass surgery in 2011. It’s 2020, and due to recurring issues, I regained a fair amount of weight.

I look for the back corner seat in a restaurant so I won’t hinder anyone, but I also see the grimace on someone’s face when I need to sit next to them on public transport, or they have no choice but to sit next to me.
I knew it was frowned upon to be overweight, but until I knew the difference, I had no idea that people were disgusted by my mere shape... it’s troubling. I know it’s not the worst of anyone’s suffering. But it still hurts and it’s something I can’t change.
