First, her poor miner parents saved up for her to go to an Atlesian prep school for Huntsmen because they wanted her to get a good education and maybe because they knew it's what Ilia dreamt of. Gods know how much hard work/illegal activities it required to get that amount. (2/n)

What did she do next? After she joins a Faunophobic clique of Plastics, she deliberately abandons who she was and willingly hurls Faunophobic slurs out of her newfound sense of power. Imagine being her parents, who sacrificed so much seeing this sellout brat calling Faunus names!

When she's eventually outed, her Plastic posse, who willingly accepted her with no other prejudices (not even out of classism), were scared. That's right, they were scared shitless and rendered defenceless and at Ilia's mercy. Then she breaks their teeth and gives them PTSD! (3)

And need I remind you that she now burned her bridges with two groups of loved ones? Not to mention she hurt several potential love interests who saw Ilia as a sister, regardless of social class! But there's still one more thing.

Attempted assassination and domestic terrorism in V5 aside, to avoid unfortunate implications of turning her into being only motivated for Blake, she was featured in the Adam short out of ideological issues. One problem.

She doesn't look any different 5 years ago, when Ghira was still the leader, than she was in V5! This means she is either a 12 year old child soldier, or an ephebophile who's at least 17 and preying on the 5 year age gap between her and then 12 year old Blake!

And she's the one who gets a chance for redemption and a happy ending by Argus Limited, all because of the obvious optics of having her get a redemption arc. Give me a break.

In the looks department, she can't even compete with the members of Team RWBY. Orientation aside, I don't even know what else she has to offer. Ruby's cute, Blake's got her booty, Yang's gauntlets, and Weiss has the class to compensate for being a petite ballerina!
