The lib twitter wonk (twonk?) takes on korean testing basically boil down to ‘they did it with their magic technologies and everyone agreed to get tested bc korea is authoritarian and everyone gets in line to help their countrymen’

More than anything I’m just kinda confused. The outbreak in Korea was part of a church that SPECIFICALLY DID NOT LISTEN and resisted shelter in place and quarantine guidelines. Korea had a relatively bad outbreak before getting it under control w said testing program.

But if they had walk up and drive through testing here in most neighborhoods with fully protected nurses to take samples, I guarantee we would have the same testing capacity and participation. Some things are indeed cultural. This is not.

The last thing I’ll say before nuking this thread is that it’s weird for liberals to argue that an ethnostate ruled by an iron fist over a subservient population is the only way to produce exemplary public policy. What kind of liberal are you! Stop being so weird! Grow some hair!
