This is extraordinarily dishonest of Tucker Carlson. Wow. Not surprising, necessarily, but yeah, as @ndrew_lawrence said, this is some deceptive clipping. https://twitter.com/ndrew_lawrence/status/1248403037460115456
Let’s take a closer look.
Okay! I found the original clip and re/inserted the parts Tucker cut out. It changes the message A LOT.

The portions that were edited out are in black and white for the purposes of illustrating this point. (1 of 2)
Weird how Tucker edited the piece to make it sound like she said the exact opposite of what she said! (2 of 2)
. @SRuhle made the point that the government needs to help the people who’ve lost work during this time until it’s safe to go back to work because you can’t just send people out into a pandemic without causing a bunch of them to die.
She noted that the people who will be hurt the most if we decide to just “open up the economy” are working-class/blue-collar workers.
But Tucker’s people edited the clip to make it sound like she was primarily concerned about the people who own giant businesses when it was actually the opposite
And here’s what makes this whole thing even more galling:

Earlier today @SRuhle interviewed a mother whose daughter just died from the virus, a grocery store clerk who kept working through the outbreak to help the elderly. It was heart wrenching.
So the same day that this absolutely gutting interview about the human toll of a pandemic, Tucker Carlson Frankensteins together clips to make it sound like she doesn’t care about workers.
This is the thing Tucker does from time to time where people will praise him for being a champion of the working class or whatever. It’s a sham. It’s always a sham.
