Re: Adjunct/Term Faculty

Bethke: "The university can terminate the contract (for professors), but it's not something we intend to do. If fall enrollment goes down and the need for cost production arises, then that will be an option. This is the worst case scenario." [2/?]
Re: Attacks on Asian-Americans

Camila Barrientos, SGA Senator for Intercultural Awareness asked about DePaul's efforts (if any) on how it has showed support to its Asian-American population during a time of xenophobia brought about by the pandemic. [3/?]
President Esteban answered by saying he released a statement two-three weeks ago on Newsline that all DePaul faculty, students and staff should've received. [4/?]
Students, especially those of Asian-American roots, were advised to report if there has been a case of racial misconduct against them. Administrators suggested for students to seek campus sources such as the Office of Multicultural Student Success and the APIDA Center. [5/?]
Ghanem: "I wish everybody a happy Easter, there's also Passover… and Ramadan is coming up."

Ghanem advises students to unplug during this three-day weekend and show support to one another by being kind. [6/?]
The Q&A portion with administrators has ended, but interested students can still join the brainstorming and check-in session. [7/?]
Cervantes, mediator and SGA president, thanked all those who joined for a healthy discussion and for coming in ready with questions. She also reminded students to reach out to the SGA platforms (DeHub, Facebook and Instagram) for any concerns and questions. [8/?]
