Okay, but Jaskier getting all scruffy because he and Geralt have been on the road for ages, and he doesn't have access to a blade that isn't too sharp and deadly and dangerous.
So Jaskier's hair grows longer, reaching his shoulders, so close to being long enough to tie up into a ponytail. And he develops a scruffy beard, one that tickles Geralt's skin when their bodies meet in whatever way they do.
Geralt doesn't say anything about it, but Jaskier catches him staring, eyes lingering on the length of Jaskier's hair, the scruffiness of his facial hair, and he finds himself wondering whether Geralt likes it.

When they reach the next town, Jaskier purchases a razor while Geralt is examining the noticeboard for contracts.
When they're in their room, Jaskier pulls out the razor and a basin, intending to shave his half-beard away, but Geralt grabs his wrist before he can.

"Stop. Don't shave it," Geralt said, more a request than a command. "I don't want you to shave it. I like it."
"You like it? Really?" Jaskier repeated, surprised.

"Yes, but... you need to be better with your words, Geralt. I didn't know that's what you meant."
"Clearly I do." Geralt kissed Jaskier then, his fingers twisting in Jaskier's longer hair. "I like the way it feels on my skin."

"I like being able to do /this/," he said, mouth breaking into a sly grin, pulling on Jaskier's hair. Jaskier couldn't help the moan that escaped his lips.
"Maybe I'll keep it then," Jaskier chuckled, all thoughts of shaving forgotten.
