I made a FB post about my opinions on COVID-19. Factual & curiosity based, not “right or wrong” or nasty but in suppport of economy reopening. Friends with a few professors on FB. Today I got an email “encouraging” me to take it down bc ppl are allowed to have different opinions

Although I will probably not explore it legally, I’m curious to if that was right of them to do? Basically said if it wasn’t removed certain professors would have a hard time hiring me or recommending me, + some other scare tactics.

I’m becoming convinced that we already live in a socialist society. Education systems seem to take the “think the way I think or you’re wrong” mindset. I’m pretty discouraged & feel suppressed.

Robin Williams once said “I always thought the idea of education was to learn to think for yourself”.
