As learning in a new environment moves ahead, Vancouver School District superintendent @SAHoffman, has a special message for #VSB39 students in her latest #COVID19 video update: 2/20
It has been a very unusual return back-to-school for many. Maintaining health & safety among students is the District’s top priority. 3/20
Learning from home will take on many forms. Teachers may assign work over email or video messages and phone calls with students and families. 4/20
Virtual classroom collaboration may take place in Microsoft TEAMs Classrooms, and school community activities shared on websites, through newsletters and social media platforms. 5/20
To help support students and families, many schools have begun lending devices to those who do not have a computer at home. School-based staff are also helping families to get Wi-Fi for those who do not have internet access. 6/20

ATTN Grade 12 students of #VSB39: As @SAHoffman notes in her latest video update, students that are on track to graduate will graduate: 11/20
“Students that were hoping for a push through April, May, June to improve marks: your teachers will work with you to ensure that that happens.” - @SAHoffman, #VSB39 superintendent. 12/20
Districts are also working with post-secondary institutions to make sure any transition to higher learning will occur seamlessly. The team at the Vancouver School District is committed to helping students through this time. 13/20
Please note: Although in-class instruction is suspended, all #VSB39 school buildings remain open as District staff, including custodians and school staff are continuing to work on site – while adhering to #physicaldistancing practices. 14/20

While religious holidays like Passover, Easter, Ramadan and Vaisakhi look very different this year compared to years passed, we hope those holidays will see students spending lots of quality time with the family members they can safely be around. 17/20
