When citizens of a country think of us civil servants as incompetent and unproductive it makes me question my skills, my initiative to go the extra mile for students and even the investments I make toward fulfilling classroom presentations etc. A thread

I see the passion and compassion myself and my colleagues put into these classrooms. Not only in educating these children academically but socially, psychologically and emotionally. The way these people spend without question, on classroom material, on extra notebooks

Pens, pencils, buying their own chalk for Christ sake, providing numerous kids with a meal many a day, seeing to those who need extra help and sometimes forfeiting entire lunch breaks just to assist where needs be. Engaging them after school for FREE, because they need it

Yet some people overlook every single one of these initiatives and just right into the fact that teachers get more vacation time, teachers get too much money (LMFAO) because we all know that’s bs, teachers are mercenaries, they don’t care about students they just want money etc.

honestly, If sick and tired was a person it would be every single teacher in this country. Sick and tired of parents who don’t give a shit about their children’s education who you have to beg to take an interest in their own spawns. Sick and tired of poor working conditions

Sick and tired of ur disrespectful, incompetent, unmotivated, mannerless children. Children who you mold into princes and princesses only for them to go to the uncultured homes they come from and revert to their regular settings. Which means you start from scratch god damn day

And yet! Day in and day out teachers show up, they put out and go to every damn corner of the Earth for these same individuals. Enduring, reassuring and seeing the task to end with the hope that one day it will make a difference. Their efforts will pay off, a life transformed

We are already educated, we do not need what we put out, we do it for you and for your children. So that they may be lifted out of poverty, so that they may go in pursuit of opportunities and greatness. So that we may shape a better society. This is all we aim to do

We have done our part but what are you doing for these children? Who should educate them and give them the tools and skills that they need to achieve whatever goals they are setting? Are you capable and competent enough? You do not see the need for us, why not do it yourselves?

I am sick and tired and the next person to disrespect my job and my efforts and that of the profession I belong to I will honestly make you crawl right back up your mothers womb where I will encourage her to spit you out. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
