Interesting post-nap thought: a good amount of the competitive @EASPORTSNHL community (myself included) got up in arms about this $2.5k tourney vs AI. To be the guy that says, "to play devil's advocate here for a second"
Isn't 1s the same thing, except you add one human on the opposite team? I know things like the whole issue with difficulty sliders and using goal differential as the key deciding factor are also big concerns here.
I'm just saying though, we're mostly all in agreement with the idea that playing against AI as a competitive eSport Is counterproductive to the scene itself, then why shouldn't all NHL eSport events be devoid of AI players?
Thoughts? Let's have a conversation about this.
