Tonight I watched The Mummy from 1932 with Boris Karloff. As in, he’s in the film. I didn’t have him round for a movie. Not during the lockdown.
ANYWAY for someone professes to love the early Universal horror movies, I’d never seen it so I decided to right that wrong. The story story is a bit like their treatment of the Dracula take but there’s some nice art direction, costumes and shots. Enjoyed.
To be absolutely clear; nothing and I mean nothing comes close to the masterpiece of Bride of Frankenstein thanks to James Whale. It’s an astounding piece of queer cinema. It’s very very gay. No really; so queer. Love it.
