U.S. testing results so far by age group, per Dr. Birx.

Age 25 and younger: over 200,000 tested, 11% positive.

24-45: 500,000+ tested, 17% positive.

45-65: Nearly 500,000 tested, 21% positive.

65-85: Nearly 200,000 tested, 22% positive.

85+: 30,000 tested, 24% positive.
Also: men are being tested less frequently, but are more frequently positive.

In other words: men are waiting longer to go in, and once they do, are likelier to already have it.
(Dr. Birx politely encouraged men to stop being such stubborn mules, but used more polite words.)
Sorry for using the word polite twice. But she was so polite about it!
The numbers: 56% of tested are female; 16% of those test positive. 44% male; 23% positive.

"To all of our men out there, no matter what age group: If you have symptoms, you should be tested and make sure that you are tested. We appreciate you engaging in that."

SO POLITE.
