Really shocked that finding a private island and ferrying the necessary equipment and personnel to put on a pay per view on it didn’t pan out for Dana White.

What could have gone wrong? Everybody knows that private islands have the kind of internet bandwidth necessary for remote broadcasts, and it’s never been cheaper to fly or charter a boat or whatever, and nobody has gotten COVID-19 on a boat or plane.

Yeah maybe a private island doesn’t have a building in which to erect the Octagon, but there’s probably, like, a big ass beach, and if floodlights wouldn’t fit in the boat with the fighters, you just tiki torch the *shit* out of that beach.

Every major sporting organization’s proposed plan to start or continue a season/event has been completely insane, and it says a lot about Dana White that the things he’s tried to do make the MLB’s “let’s sequester 32 rosters in hotel rooms for four months” plan look kinda doable.
