This week we said goodbye to longtime parishioner Helen Peters. Helen loved the church. She was president of our Altar Guild for many years. Helen had been in Long Term Care for 16 years & had lived with dementia since 1998. It’s been a long journey. 1/5

A few years ago her faithful husband Ted died. He tended to here daily. He was faithful in visiting her daily. In his absence, folks from St Aidan’s as well as her son Steve & daughters Julie & Lauren & their families were present to her as much as possible. 2/5
She has been well loved and is now reunited with her beloved Ted, and her daughter Anita who died in 1961. Please join me in offering prayers for Steve, Julie, Lauren, & their families during this time of grief. 3/5
In the midst of this COVID-19 crisis, we are unable to gather at the church for Helen‘s funeral. A cremation has taken place, and as soon as we are able to, we will gather around the Table at St Aidan’s and celebrate the joy of resurrection. 4/5
Helen’s very long Good Friday is now over. She has entered into her Easter. Even at the grave we make our song, ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA! 5/5
