USA's attempts to undermine Russia are inseparable from its attempts to undermine China--it's the same agenda. A Pentagon white paper published last year titled “Russian Strategic Intentions” mentions the word “China” 108 times. Some noteworthy excerpts:

These Pentagon strategists are basically seen pleading for the US to try to court either Moscow or Beijing to peel them apart, but for whatever reason the decision has been made to aggressively escalate against them both instead. This has driven them closer together.
Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov speaks openly about the various ways that Russia, China, and other nations who’ve resisted absorption into the blob of the US power alliance have been working toward the creation of a multipolar world:
And indeed, this is exactly what we've been seeing: https://twitter.com/snarwani/status/1245314678814846977
And of course this increasingly close alliance hasn't been limited to economic matters: https://twitter.com/Russ_Warrior/status/1153734188350214144
Gilbert Doctorow outlined all this way back in 2017. When you read the MSM shrieking about Russia or China, this is all it's ever ultimately about:

Very true. They've probably ruled this out as a strategy because they know both Moscow and Beijing would see it coming from a mile away and it'd ultimately bite them in the ass. For Russia and China, multipolarism is a matter of survival. https://twitter.com/jasinskm/status/1248373758626123779?s=20
Anyone who saw through the anti-Russia bullshit but cheerleads for the anti-China bullshit is a moron, as is anyone who sees through the anti-China bullshit but cheerleads for the anti-Russia bullshit. It's the same bullshit. Don't be a moron.
