I have something to say about the
#WhyIDidntReport hashtag:

Every time women gather on here and talk about sexual violence against women, we always get certain men trying to belittle or derail the conversation by saying "well what about the men?" /1
Men are victims of sexual violence too. It is a real thing that happens. However where are these men making campaigns to support male victims? Where is the support for these men who felt they couldn't report when they shared their stories? /2
What I have seen from other men is ridicule. Abuse. Accusations of lying or attempts to play down what happened to them, telling them to "man up". /3
These men don't care about male victims. They just want weaponise their abuse to shut women up about the abuse they go through.
/4
Do you know who ACTUALLY sticks up for male victims? The "man hating feminists". We send messages saying we believe them. Validating their experiences. Yes the evil misandrist harpies who don't give a shit about men or their pain. /5
I hate the fact I feel like I need to add a "not all men" disclaimer but yes...I know there are men who care and show support. But these men are NOT the ones who barge into conversations about violence about women /6
So next time someone tries to feed you the bullshit line that feminists only about women and don't care about male victims of abuse...just look. Look at the #WhyIDidntReport and see who stands up and says "I believe you" /7
Solidarity to ALL victims of sexual assault and abuse. Man, woman, young, old...you ALL matter. And we believe and support you 🖤👊
