Holy Thursday is my favorite night of the year in Rome. Churches go all out in setting up their Altars of Repose. Many stay open until midnight so I always try to visit as many as I can. Since we are at home this year, I’m sharing some of my favorites from years past. Enjoy!
We have to start with the church that has the relic from the table of the Last Supper, Saint John Lateran.
Sant’Anna in the Vatican always has a lovely set-up.
Sant’Agostino impresses me each year.
The Venerable English College always has an understated and polished chapel.
I can’t remember the name of this church from 2014, but I remember I loved the blue flowers.
I’ll end with this one, but lots more are on my site: https://thecatholictraveler.com/blog/holy-thursday-in-rome/
