Hello, it’s your local bookseller here to recommend a book a day to get y’all through self-isolation and social distancing!
First up, a recent reread for mine, Of Curses & Kisses by @smenonbooks!

If you love Beauty & the Beast and/or Gossip Girl, you’re going to LOVE this modern retelling. It’s fun, angsty, sweet and chaotic, and it’ll have you on the edge of your seat with the will they, won’t they!
Today’s rec is Running With Lions by @julianw_writes!

As a sporty person myself, I really enjoyed this. The way Julian perfectly captures the team bonding, the joking around, the intensity of practice and the found family-ness of team sports in Running With Lions was exquisite♥️
Today’s been a tough day for me so the rec for today is going to be one of my go-to feel good books: Don’t Date Rosa Santos by @Nina_Writes!

This got me through a really tough time last summer. The enchanting writing whisks you away with the first words✨
Today’s rec is for those who want an escape into a sprawling, gut-wrenching fantastical world: The Poppy War by @kuangrf!

I couldn’t get enough of this when I read it! I had to keep pulling myself away from reading too much in 1 go bc I wanted to stay in the world longer.
Since I missed yesterday, we’re gonna have TWO books recc’d today! The first one is: LOVE FROM A TO Z by @SajidahWrites!

I read this last year and absolutely loved it. S. K. Ali has a way with words that’s unmatched. If you’re looking for your next read, make it this one.
The next is, The Gilded Wolves by @Roshani_Chokshi!

I read this early last year & OH MY GODS. It was BRILLIANT. I still remember the story beat from beat. You def need this in your life if your a fantasy fan. And even better, the sequel comes out this year! So get to reading.
I’ve been so focused on writing the last three days that I completely forgot to add to this thread. But I remembered after finally getting some food in my system so let’s add three books to your TBR!
Looking for a YA Fantasy that’ll sweep you off your feet? Look no further than @hafsahfaizal’s phenomenal debut: We Hunt The Flame!

The worldbuilding, the characters, the setting, the writing—all of it will leave you desperate, begging for more.
Got little ones at home? Help early readers become lifelong book lovers with any @VashtiHarrison book!

One of my personal favourites is Dream Big, Little One, out from Little, Brown at any bookstore♥️
Two years ago, when I was travelling to NYC (the first time I was travelling by myself), I read @jenmariewilde’s THE BRIGHTSIDERS and it was everything I needed and more.

If you’re having a rough day, I highly recommend this amazing book. It’s absolutely wonderful♥️
Of course, no list would be complete without @sabaatahir’s An Ember in The Ashes!

One of the first and best fantasy series I’ve ever read is the Ember Quartet, and I believe everyone, fantasy fan or not, should read it because it‘s absolutely brilliant.👏🏽
If The Never Tilting World by @RinChupeco is not already on your TBR, it should be now.

TNTW got my out of the reading slump I’d been in last year and was a thoroughly enjoyable, brilliantly written read and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s just that good.
Today’s book rec is Ayesha At Last by @UzmaWrites!

This is one of the best books I’ve ever read! It’s a modern day retelling of Pride and Prejudice, and it’s absolutely brilliant<3
I’ve been away the last couple of days but what really helped me when I was completely thrown for a loop were books! So let’s add another three to this thread:
@HHoangWrites’s THE KISS QUOTIENT was one of the first Romance reads that got me back into the genre a few years ago & I reread it recently which really helped me. If you’re feeling down or like things are out of your control like I did, I highly recommend reading this.
