A thread: A little clarity from Dr. Coffey, Research Committee chair on extended abstracts: “length of extended abstracts must be at least 750 words but no more than 1,500 words. A 75-word (max.) summary of the abstract should precede the abstract itself.
Continued... “References and summary are excluded from the word count…” It serves the same purpose as an abstract in the full paper and should appear as the first item in the paper file upload before the actual extended abstract begins.
Continued... All Academic does require you to put something in the abstract/summary box, so you may just paste your 75 word summary in the All-Academic box normally used for abstracts. End thread.
