These lawyers at Covington & Burling had already been caught making material misrepresentations to their own client.

It's one of the reasons the General dismissed his former defense team and hired @SidneyPowell1 and @molmccann to be his new lawyers.

Let me remind you what happened here.

To jawbone Flynn into accepting a plea deal on one count of process perjury, the Mueller SC threatened to file a host of charges against him AND his son over illegal lobbying activity.

C & B LLP messed up the filing for the Flynn Intel Group's FARA application, were informed of this by the Mueller prosecutors, and they urged the General to take the plea deal being offered by the Special Counsel.

C & B LLP urged Flynn to take the deal **without** informing him their own mistake in the FIG's FARA application opened him up to these FARA charges.

C & B appear to have managed to hide this from Flynn for almost 2 years, until he suddenly dismissed them in July 2019.

When new lawyers take over a case for a client, the former lawyers are supposed to turn over all the documents related to that case.

Because they'd already been caught doing shenanigans once, Judge Sullivan issued a SPECIFIC ORDER to C & B about this last July.

Now in April of 2020, C & B is suddenly loudly barging into the room and claiming 'Oh hey you'll NEVER guess what we just found and failed to turn over 8 months ago!"

Yeah, ok they have to go with "we're incompetent" here because the alternative is they defied the court order.
