The removal of Rep. DeBerry from the Democratic primary ballot is almost entirely unprecedented and wrong. Not only is it a poor political decision for the Democratic Party, it does severe damage to the democratic process in our state. https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/politics/2020/04/08/tennessee-democratic-party-removes-rep-john-deberry-ballot-democratic-candidate/2973467001/
John DeBerry has been @tndp for as long as I can remember. He's been elected & re-elected time and again for standing up for his convictions & constituents. If a small group of Democrats has issues with him, the proper venue to hash that out is Tennessee's open primary process.
Subverting democracy over petty political grievances doesn't help the Democratic Party or the state of Tennessee.
