Jack& #39;s awesome trousers in & #39;86 final round at Augusta inspired me to create this thread of cool golf apparel players wore over the years that maybe nobody talks about. This is truly some esoteric sh*t and reader be forewarned...
I always loved this shirt @elkpga wore. I can& #39;t remember if it was a final round in a major where he wore it but I remember thinking it was really cool.
Olazabal wore this LaCoste polo in his & #39;99 win at Augusta. Soccer jersey style V neck. Couldn& #39;t find it anywhere in the USA. Traveled Europe that summer and finally found it in a department store. Bought a white and navy one with money I definitely didn& #39;t have.
Bubba Watson won the Farmers wearing a @TRAVISMATHEW sweater. Very simple with the Travis script on the sleeve. Very simple, very cool. Not even sure if that was a sweater then sold. But they should have because it was sweet
Nicklaus gets all the credit for winning The Masters in 1975, but every time I see it, I always think Johnny Miller had underrated "modern" style for that period.
I may have been in the minority at the time, but I always loved Charles Howell& #39;s decision to wear JL when he turned pro. A lot of their stuff was pretty unwearable for most US golfers at that time, but there were some really cool looks then
It was very short lived, but when Kuchar was just a puppy, he wore Zegna for a cup of coffee and I remember thinking then that I wished I were rich so I could afford what he was wearing
