Was busy yesterday so I didn’t have a chance to speak on Bernie dropping out. It’s depressing seeing a movement you cared so deeply about coming to an end. And although the establishment/corporatists were successful, the message of Bernard Sanders will always live on (1/10)
Bernie changed the Democratic establishment for the better. Today, the party is further left than any point in my lifetime. Now basic humanistic policies like Medicare for All, Free College, Cancelling Student Loan debt, etc. are now overly popular among the people. (2/10)
Unfortunately, there’s still a massive disconnection between what the people want and what our corrupt politicians/media are willing to fight for. Thankfully, Bernie’s movement inspired a new progressive movement on the ground, online, and in Congress [THE SQUAD
] (3/10)

We needed Bernie. Even though he didn’t win, he needed to be there. He activated so many young people to get involved in the political process. He united folks from all different types of backgrounds and gave us a vision of political change worth believing in. (4/10)
Now we are stuck with establishment darling Joe Biden. I don’t have faith in Joe Biden. I don’t agree with his policies. I don’t like his record. I don’t like the sexual assault allegations. I don’t like the dementia. Now I’m forced to support someone I don’t like (5/10)
It’s funny because throughout my life, I know a LOT of black people who just refuse to vote. They always say something like “I don’t like voting for the lesser of two evils” or “None of these candidates represent me” I never really understood that until this election cycle (6/10)
At the end of the day, I’m a registered independent and I’ve never felt obligated to subscribe to partisan hackery. But Trump is a dangerous, reckless bigot, so I have no choice but to “fall in line”. So from now on, I will NOT being saying a single negative word about Joe (7/10)
That doesn’t necessarily mean I’m going to vote him. As a Californian, I’m confident that the state will remain blue. So I will be voting with my heart. For someone I believe in. Thus, if Joe Biden doesn’t earn my vote, I’ll probably vote third party. (8/10)
If the Green Party gets 5% of the vote, they receive federal funding; which could massively reform the broken, binary system. And folks from certifiably blue states should vote with their hearts too. That being said, IF YOU ARE IN A SWING STATE & YOU DON’T FW TRUMP, VOTE FOR JOE
I KNOW it sucks but I literally don’t think the country can survive another 4 years of Trump. This pandemic proved that our economy‘s built with a house of cards (no Netflix puns intended). At the end of the day, Bernie fought to take down Trump. Let’s take on that fight with him
