Still getting so much cold 'just-get-on-with-it-ery' from superiors. A complete lack of understanding of the fact that the current actions of our superiors will contribute to the illness and death of health care staff.

Today, we ran out of hair nets. The response from a matron: "I've sent an email". We needed the hair nets, 10 minutes before the email was sent. Kind regards.
A matron was also heard saying with distain that she'd seen a nurse sitting down in a COVID19+ECMO area

A staff nurse sitting down during a 13 hour shift in a respirator and full PPE. That's 20 lashes for resting your legs. Yes suh.

But on a serious note. I'm desperately sad about it all. Looking after people who should be out and about pottering and having a laugh. Fighting for their lives. And its bloody fab how much everybody in the community appreciates us all. Today I got an Easter egg off a local group

But it's those sad, intimidated and scared feelings. There the ones we should remember. And never let go of how used we felt.

Im a rusty cog in a machine here. Its a cumbersome tractor I reckon, but I cant see it cos Im in under the bonnet. And were chugging along. The farmer is a tight bastard, doesnt oil us just smears dirt into our joints and treats us like the mule that lies prone in his other field

And so we should strain to remember these feelings and when this is done: we nag, we prod, we do well worded emails, we escalate, we moan until somebody(s) is held responsible for exposing us all and mitigating the death of healthcare professionals.

I feel like that was too bleak an end. The easter egg was pure heaven. I ate it sat on a bariatric chair on my break. The chair was like a big hug and I love the fact that somewhere someone superior to me was fuming that I was sat on a chair that wasn't built for me

Or just the fact that I was sitting at all
